We have been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming some normalcy in our lives. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your dental health, your safety, and your well-being.

Infection control has always been a top priority in our practice, and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are in place so that when you receive care, it is both safe and comfortable for you. As we begin to welcome patients back to the office, we want to share the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and the dental team safe. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We monitor the activities of these agencies so that we are up to date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.

Based on the current recommendations, you will see a few changes when it is time for your next appointment to help protect our patients and staff. Some of the changes you can expect are as follows:

Additionally, we will employ a High-Volume Evacuation (HVE) unit that keeps aerosols down by 95% - 98%.We will be donning fresh Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) each appointment, including changing new lab coats with each patient, and wearing face shields and masks, as per guidelines.

We will also be using a UVC Sterilization Wand on those areas that are difficult to disinfect. We would like you to know that our office is also equipped with HEPA filters that are monitored and changed regularly. We want you to know that your health and safety, as well as the health and safety of our staff is our top priority, and with these efforts, we will keep you safe.
